Pipeline Construction Services

Natural gas pipeline installation from the first cut of the trench to the last test. Our crews have laid thousands of miles of pipeline.

Trenching and pipe, steel and poly

A pipeline is only as good as the ditch it sits in. Depth, a clean trench bottom and proper bedding decide whether pipe settles evenly or sags and stresses at the joints. We run the trenching ourselves and lay both steel pipe and poly pipe.

Steel carries the high-pressure runs. Poly suits gathering and distribution lines. Our crew members have been part of large natural gas pipeline construction projects and, combined, have laid thousands of miles of pipeline, so the call on which pipe goes where comes from the field, not a brochure.

Water line and gas line installation use the same crews, the same equipment and the same standards.

Road bores, river and road crossings

Pipe does not stay in open farmland. It meets roads, creeks and rivers. Road bores and crossings let the line pass under traffic without shutting the road. River and road crossings take planning, because the wrong method can scour a bank or tie up a highway.

Pennsylvania's hills make every crossing a little different. We size up the ground first, then choose the method that protects the crossing and keeps the schedule moving.

Meter and pump stations are part of our scope too, so the line gets built through to the point where gas is measured and moved.

Hydrostatic testing, drying and the landowner

Hydrostatic testing and drying services come before gas flows, because the line has to prove itself. Hydrostatic testing fills it with water and holds pressure to show any leak. Drying services then pull the water back out, since moisture left in a gas line causes trouble later.

Landowners care about what is left behind. We work with minimal impact on landowners and total environmental compliance, and we pair the pipeline crew with our erosion and sediment control work so the right-of-way is stable when we leave.
